Distinction of BASF Hellas in the Sustainable Development Awards - BRAVO 2019

The BRAVO 2019 is an institution of social dialogue for sustainable development.

BASF Hellas SA was awarded with distinction for its participation in the BRAVO Sustainability dialogue & awards 2019 with the initiative "Certified Sustainable FiberMax® Program: Cotton production with sustainable practices - from seed to clothing", at the annual BRAVO 2019 event on Wednesday December 18, 2019, at the Megaron – Athens Concert Hall.

"We are proud that, today, our Certified Sustainable FiberMax® (CSF) program, which aims to create branded, high value-added cotton, fiber and yarn, that meets modern consumer demands for traceability and sustainability, is being rewarded." said Mr. Vassilis Gounaris, CEO of BASF Hellas SA.

"The BASF CSF certification program is addressed to all those involved in the cotton value chain, based on the Greek cotton grower, continuing with the the ginning company and the spinner, even the clothing industry, contributing to the quality upgrade of Greek cotton and, for the benefit of all," said Mr. Thanasis Tsoutsas, Head of the Seeds Department of BASF Hellas SA.

The award was received by Ms. Athina Kylafi, Corporate Communications Manager of BASF Hellas SA, Dr. Georgios Nounesis, Research Director of the National Center for Research and Natural Sciences "Demokritos".
